Eat, evolve, repeat — and it's weirdly hard to put down

Re:Monster runs on one of the most addictive hooks in the genre: our reincarnated hero comes back as a lowly goblin who absorbs the abilities of whatever he eats. Watching Rou climb the food chain — literally — is grimly satisfying, like an RPG grind you can't look away from.

It goes dark and morally grey fast, so this is emphatically not a cozy one, and the tribe-building and harem elements won't land for everyone. The diary-style progression can get repetitive. But the momentum of that evolution loop kept me hooked well past the point I meant to stop. Come for the power fantasy, stay for how casually feral it's willing to get.
