This policy explains what Hanashi Media, LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use Otaku Forum, why, and what control you have over it. We try to collect as little as we can to run the service well.

What we collect

Account information — your email, handle, display name and the settings you choose.
Content you create — reviews, stories, art, comments, lists and messages you post.
Usage data — the activity needed to run features like feeds, analytics and moderation, such as views, reactions and sign-in sessions.
Payment data — when you buy coins or set up payouts, our payment processor handles your card and bank details. We store records of transactions, not your full card number.

How we use it

To operate the service — showing your content, feeds and notifications.
To provide creator analytics on your own content.
To process coin purchases, donations and payouts.
To keep the platform safe — preventing fraud, abuse and rule-breaking.
To respond to you when you contact support.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. Your email address is never exposed to other users, and it is never stored in the session cookie used to render your signed-in view.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers we need to run Otaku Forum — for example our hosting and payment processors — and only as far as they need it to do their job. We may disclose information where required by law.

Your choices

You can edit or delete most of your content at any time.
You can hide content from public view without deleting it.
You can request access to, or deletion of, your personal data by contacting us.
You control your mature-content visibility and notification settings.

Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When you delete content, associated uploads that nothing else references are removed from our systems.
